Hey lovelies! It’s been a while since I did a beauty post so I thought I’d come at you with a full face of my favourite drugstore makeup, this would be perfect for a Valentine’s day date night look!
Base Products
Foundation – Maybelline 24hr Superstay
I’ve talked about this foundation a lot on my blog but if I need a product which is going to give a flawless base and last all day long this is the one I reach for every time, it’s just so good!
Concealer – Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define
This concealer has been so hyped recently and I actually did a post comparing it to Collection Lasting Perfection here but it really does deserve all the hype it is getting! My foundation tends to come off around my nose area quite easily so I applied this to my nose as well as under my eyes and it gave such amazing coverage! The concealer didn’t crease and lasted a good 12 hours, I cannot believe the quality for the price it’s faultless!
Powder – Rimmel Match Perfection Loose Powder
I don’t have oily skin but I still like to powder my whole face as I feel it helps to keep my makeup on for longer! On a day to day basis I’ll reach for a pressed powder but for a day/night out I much prefer a loose powder as I feel it gives a nicer finish to my base!
Bronzer & Blush – Milani Baked Bronzer and Baked Blush
Ok so I know you can’t actually buy Milani at the drugstore in the UK but they are definitely drugstore price and you can purchase them from Beauty Bay! I’m not one for contouring, honestly I can just never get it right! I love the bronzer from Milani in ‘Dolce’ it is the perfect shade for my pale skin and gives me a nice warm glow without looking like an Oompa Lumpa! I’m not a fan of a lot of blush either, however the shade ‘Rosa Romantica’ gives a lovely subtle pink hint to the cheekbones!
Highlighter – Soph x Makeup Revolution Highlight Palette
If you’ve read some of my other blog posts you’ll know how much I love Sophdoesnails! Both her palettes with Makeup Revolution are amazing quality and I love the shades in the highlighter palette! There are a range of colours to suit every skin tone, and you can use a couple of different shades or mix them for the perfect glow. I like to use the pink or peach colour for my face highlight and then use the palest shade for my brow bone and inner corner.
Eye Makeup
Brows – Eylure Brow Pomade
The Eylure Brow Pomade is a new find for me but I really love it! It’s so smooth and just glides on the skin, I went for the blonde shade but it isn’t too warm toned compared to others I have tried. I hate my brows they grow back uneven so they never look right but this pomade is the best I’ve tried so far!
Eyeshadow palette – Makeup Revolution Flawless 4
I’ve recently written a review of this palette which you can read here and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality for such a cheap palette! Being a warm toned palette the shades are right up my street and they’re so pigmented and blendable! If you haven’t tried a Makeup Revolution palette I really recommend you do!
Mascara – Maybelline Colossal Big Shot
I bought this mascara on a whim because I was buying a couple of other things from Maybelline and it was ‘3 for 2’ but I’m so glad I picked it up! I have struggled to find a mascara I really love recently but I always find myself reaching for this one now! It gives my lashes great length and volume and isn’t clumpy at all which is great because I hate clumpy lashes!
Lip Products
Lush Lip Scrub – Bubblegum
I always use a lip scrub before starting to apply my makeup and then I add a lip butter to keep my lips moisturised before I apply my liquid lipstick as it can be really drying depending on what product I’m using!
Barry M Lip Kit – First Date
I bought this Barry M lip kit having never tried one before but this colour was one of those ‘free when you spend £8 on Barry M’ and you couldn’t buy it separately which was so annoying as it was the perfect colour for me but I didn’t really want any of their other products!
I’ve never really worn lip liner but I absolutely love these lip kits, the lip liner is really smooth and glides on without any issues, the liquid lipstick smells beautiful and applies really nicely. It lasts quite well for a drugstore priced liquid lipstick and it isn’t super drying like others I’ve tried for a similar price!
Unfortunately I don’t think you can get this shade anymore but it’s just a really subtle pinky nude colour and I love it!
Hope you’ve enjoyed this post sorry it’s really long and thanks if you’re still here! I used this makeup for my Valentine’s ‘date night’ on Saturday and I absolutely loved everything! I honestly don’t think you can tell much difference between some of my drugstore products compared to high-end ones! Save your pennies and try some of these products instead, you won’t regret it!
What are your favourite products from the drugstore? I’d love to hear your recommendations!
I know this has nothing to do with your blog, but I love your Mickey carpet! I get jealous every time I see your pictures 🙂

I love the conceal and define, I’ve never had a drugstore concealer that’s come close to covering my awful dark under eyes before, but it makes a huge difference for me.
I didn’t realise Beauty Bay did Milan, I’ll have to give it a go. I’ve heard great things about their foundation xx

I like the Liquid Suede but tried a lip lingerie and hated it! Think I must have had a bad batch though as so many people love them! Never tried the liner I gave up with liner last year as I could never get it even, thanks for the recommendation though, I’ll check it out!xx
