Hey lovelies! Sorry I haven’t posted much recently but I’ve been super busy and haven’t been feeling well so I thought it was best to take a few days off blogging to try and make myself feel better! The sun is shining and I am feeling a lot happier so I thought I’d write a quick beauty post about the new things I’ve picked up recently!
Firstly I’m sure you’re all aware that Makeup Revolution (who have changed their name to just Revolution) have also released a new brand called ‘Revolution Pro’ I was so excited that they were releasing even more products as I think the quality of their stuff is amazing considering how affordable it is!
I watched ‘Sophdoesnails’ video on some of the products that were being released and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them! My local Superdrug is pretty small so I had to wait a while longer than others but when I went in on Sunday they’d finally got some so I picked up a few bits!
As you probably know if you read my posts regularly I wear liquid lipsticks more than anything else, so I couldn’t wait to try their ‘Pro Supreme Matte Liquid Lip Pigment’ I went for ‘Veil’ as it looked like my ‘go to’ pinky nude shade and the swatch is beautiful! I also picked up one of their normal lipsticks in ‘Rebellious’ and though it is a bit more pink/peach toned than I’d usually wear I think it will be perfect for summer!
The last thing I picked up from Revolution Pro was their ‘Revolution Pro Refill Contour Pack’ I obviously got the shade ‘Light’ as I look like a milk bottle on a daily basis! I’m so excited to test this out! I’ve swatched all 3 of the products included in the kit, the bronzer looks like the perfect shade for me, the highlighter lives up to the rest of the Revolution highlighters in that it is blinding and even the banana powder looks light enough that I might be able to make it work (although I’ve never used one before so I could be wrong!)
I’m hoping to get my hands on a few more of their products before I review them as I’d like to do a full face of Revolution/Revolution Pro products so I still need a powder, they don’t do a mascara as far as I know and I might pick up one of their new palettes in ‘Revelation’ as it reminds me of Huda Beauty ‘Rose Gold’.
More makeup brushes? This was my Fiance’s reaction when he took me to the post office to pick up my parcel from Spectrum and yes I know I have quite a few brushes but the ones from Spectrum are such good quality and I just couldn’t resist getting a few in their bank holiday sale!
I’ve wanted the ‘Glen Coco 4 Piece Eye Set’ since it was released because if you read my Mean Girls Brush Set Review I wrote that I would have liked a few more eyeshadow brushes included so this was my perfect solution! It was originally £19.99 for the 4 brushes but it was reduced to £15.50 in the sale so I couldn’t resist! The set includes B04, A08, A12 and A13, this is literally all you need to create the perfect eye look! With a big fluffy blending brush and a smaller one, a shaped brush to fit into your crease and a short stubby brush to apply shimmer shadows what more could you need? The brushes go perfectly with the rest of my Mean Girls set and they still have quotes on the end which I love!
I also purchased another 3 brushes from the ‘Marbelous’ collection purely because I think the white brushes are beautiful and I’ve wanted some for ages! I got B08 which I’m sure is going to become my new favourite brush to apply highlighter and A22 which is another eyeshadow brush. I also got B04 in this collection as it’s my favourite brush to build up and blend colours into the crease so now I have three of them!
The last thing I’ve picked up recently was actually a random purchase from Asda when I was doing the food shopping! I’ve wanted to try the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink liquid lipsticks since they were released but thought £10 was a bit pricey for a drugstore liquid lipstick especially when I’ve heard mixed reviews!
This was reduced to around £6.50 in Asda and although it isn’t the shade I was originally eyeing up it still looks absolutely stunning it’s the shade 65 – ‘Seductress’ and if I like the formula it might encourage me to get the other shade I like the look of!
That’s all for this little haul but seen as I’m meant to be saving I think I’ve still got quite a bit here to test out! Keep your eyes peeled for that testing Revolution Beauty post and let me know if you’ve tried any of these products! Until next time my loves
