My Summer Lookbook!

Hey lovelies! Recently I’ve bought quite a few new summer pieces to add to my wardrobe and with how nice the weather has been lately I’ve been able to get my wear out of some of them already! I didn’t think I’d need many summer clothes as I’m not going abroad this year until Disneyland Paris in December but who needs Spain when we have weather like this in the UK?

Just to pre warn you, my go to outfits in the summer are culottes and culotte jumpsuits as they are just SO comfy so I didn’t know whether to do this post as some of the outfits are similar but I received so much support on Twitter when I tweeted that I thought it may be pointless that you lovely lot convinced me to write it anyway!

Outfit 1

This jumpsuit is my most recent purchase and was £22.99 from New Look! I bought this on Saturday and wore it Sunday, it is so comfy and you can dress it up with some heels for a night out or dress it down with some sandals/trainers for a daytime look!

For this outfit I chose to pair the jumpsuit with some chunky heeled tan shoes from Primark (I got them last year but loads of places have similar ones) and a tan coloured choker! I’m considering wearing this again tomorrow for a night out with the work girls as I love it so much!

If I could wear mustard coloured clothing everyday of my life I’d be happy, I absolutely love it at the minute! These trousers were an absolute steal from Primark coming in at just £8! I have so many pairs of culottes from Primark, they’re really affordable and last ages, you can style them so many different ways and they’re super comfy!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know how much I love Disney so I decided to pair these trousers with my Minnie Mouse striped tee from Primark £8, and my Mickey Mouse bag also £8 from Primark. I wasn’t sure how the red would go with the mustard but I absolutely love it! I pulled my striped Vans on with this outfit, I know they don’t match the best but I need to get some new trainers I mainly have high-tops which are no good for summer!

Outfit 3

This is the last culotte outfit I promise you! I saw this in Primark last week and fell in love with it straight away! The jumpsuit was another bargain at just £13, it has a zip fastening, ruffle detail at the front and a lace tie around the middle.

I paired this jumpsuit with my khaki and rose gold Vans and my khaki suedette jacket as I think it would be great for a summer day out when it drops a little cooler at night time and you need something to keep you a bit warmer. What I love about this is that it’s another versatile piece to have in your wardrobe! You could style this with a pair of heels for a night on the town or just some sandals if you were headed to the beach. This is going to become another firm favourite piece of clothing for me!

Outfit 4

Can you tell I mainly shop in Primark? Who can blame me though, this dress only cost me £10 and it looks so much more expensive! These flip flops are also from Primark last year but I’m sure they have the same/similar ones this year!

The only problem I found with this dress is that because it’s so low cut and I’m so flat chested I need to put a safety pin in it so that it doesn’t keep coming open around my chest area but I don’t mind doing that for such a pretty outfit! I’m so glad I found this dress it’s so summery and actually long enough for my giraffe self (5″11 to be exact) without needing tights/shorts underneath!

Outfit 5

I wasn’t sure whether to include this outfit as it’s my least favourite out of all of them but I thought I’d show you anyway! I don’t think I like this skirt much anymore, I absolutely loved it when I saw it on the hanger in… can you guess? Primark! but I think it makes me look really wide and it’s much too short for me, I’d definitely need tights with it if I was going to wear it out!

This skirt would probably look amazing on people who are a little bit shorter than me but because I’m so self-conscious of my bottom half anyway and I feel like this makes it look worse I don’t know if I’ll actually wear it!

Anyway if you are going to pick this up (they had it in the pale blue and a rust colour) it’s only £8/£10 sorry I can’t remember exactly and you could pair it with a cami top and some heels for the perfect day-night outfit! Got a long day in the office followed by cocktails with the girls? This would be great for that!

The cami top is from Primark, they do all different colours and come in at around £4 and these shoes were from the Boohoo Wide Fit section in November last year and cost around £20 I think. Also if you’re wondering the bag is from the beautiful Alice in Wonderland range from Cath Kidston x Disney!

Has this inspired you to go out and get some new additions for your summer wardrobe? What’s your favourite out of all the outfits? Let me know in the comments I love to hear from you!

I recently purchased a navy floral one from NewLook and agree it is the comfiest thing ever and can be dressed up or down. The second outfit, I’m actually going to need you to just post that to me as it’s everything I didn’t know I needed. How cute is that Mickey bag and the Alice in Wonderland one? Okay, I’m off to buy literally the majority of this blog post! Thank you for sharing lovely! ❤ x
