Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes – First Impressions

Hey lovelies! I have wanted the Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes palette since I first saw the pictures of it when it was released, unfortunately it wasn’t available in the UK for a long time after the release. I went to London in December when the Too Faced store had just launched in Carnaby Street and I didn’t pick up the palette then and let me tell you I regretted it ever since!

I was starting to think that the palette would never become available in the UK and that I’d have to wait until my Disneyland Paris trip in December to pick it up from the Sephora in the shopping centre but FINALLY it was released in Debenhams last month. I couldn’t help myself, I had to pick this palette up as my payday treat, I think I deserve it after how long I’ve waited for it!

Packaging

I absolutely love the packaging of this palette, it’s quite a small palette with a mirror as big as the palette itself which makes it great for travelling as long as you’re careful and don’t smash it, no-one needs seven years bad luck in their life!

Too Faced are renowned for their themed makeup collections for example the chocolate bar palettes are really hyped and then they bought out the Sweet Peach palette and then this new Peaches and Cream collection. The details in this product just make it for me, the fastening on the palette is two little peaches, you get a leaflet giving you 3 different looks to create which all have ‘peach’ themed names and a quote on saying ‘Life’s a peach and then you pie’ which I really liked.

Swatches

I’ve never tried Too Faced eyeshadows before so I didn’t know what to expect from the formula, they don’t feel as smooth and creamy as some other brands I’ve used but I’ve yet to test them on my eyes and obviously that’s the most important thing!

The palette comes with 12 shadows again all with ‘peach’ names and the shades are definitely my cup of tea all warm tones they’re gorgeous!

If you’ve read my posts for a while you know I’m not the best at swatches but I was a bit disappointed with these and I really hope they perform better on my eyes!

My favourite row from this palette is definitely the last one as Peach Sangria is my favourite shade but I really like how the shades in each row all match to create what I can imagine would be a beautiful eyeshadow look!

I wouldn’t usually use the leaflets showing you the different looks you can achieve with a palette as I like to create my own but the ones included with this look gorgeous especially Preach, Peach and Peach After Dark so I think I’ll give these a try.

The last thing to mention about this palette is that the eyeshadows are scented to match the ‘peach’ theme. Although they are scented they’re not overpowering at all it’s just a nice subtle scent so don’t let that put you off!

I’ll do a new post about this palette once I’ve tested it out a few times I was just so excited that I finally got it I couldn’t wait to show you all!

Have you got this palette or have you tried anything from Too Faced? Let me know in the comments I love to hear from you!

  1. I’m not the best swatchers (or what it calls) either. You did good! But I was kinda disappointed of how the pigment were. I have only heard good about too faced. I wish Sweden was selling them. Thank you for sharing 💖

  6. I have to admit I bought the Chocolate Bar Palette recently and I wasn’t wowed. I think I’m too much of an Urban Decay girl and I realised I really loved my Naked Smoky too much. I do think the amount of detail Too Faced put into their products is awesome though. Even the names of the shadows are so cute! I’m excited to read more about what you thought later on and for you to show us the looks you create!

    Lots of love,

    1. I’ve got Naked Smoky but really struggle to create looks with it I usually look live I’ve been punched and just got a black eye! Would love to see how you use it! I’ve used my Too Faced one for the first time today and it seems average at best right now so I’m a little disappointed!x
