What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag?!

Hey lovelies! If you’ve read some of my recent posts you’ll probably know that I’m off to London for some early birthday celebrations TODAY! Yes I’m that dedicated to the blog that I’ve woke up early to get this post written before we head off even though I haven’t packed a single thing yet… woops!

So lets see which things out of my rather large makeup collection have made it into my travel makeup bag!

Base Products

Maybelline 24hr Superstay Foundation

I’ve spoke about this foundation quite a lot on my blog so some of you probably already know how much I love it. It’s full coverage and as the name suggests it lasts all day; I’m going to be super busy and won’t have time to be topping up my makeup so this will be perfect!

Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer

Again another product I always talk about but I can always rely on this, I know it works for me so I wouldn’t choose anything else to take on my travels! This is super high coverage and again lasts really well without creasing, my favourite concealer ever!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

Would I be taking anything else honestly? Everyone knows how amazing this powder is and as much as I love loose powder when I’m going out, it’s just way to messy to be dropping all over hotel rooms, I don’t think the cleaners would appreciate it! Also this is great because it’s going to be so hot that if I need a powder top up this is way easier than loose powder to use on the go!

Rimmel Sculpting Kit

I’ve talked about this quite a few times recently as well and I’ve always said how perfect it is for travelling! It has a bronzer, blush and highlight all built into one palette so it saves me carrying 3 different products around with me! I also really like the natural look this gives me to complete my base!

Eye Products

Eylure Brow Pomade & Morphe Brow Brush

I love this Morphe brow brush (E29 if you’re interested) as it has a spoolie on the end so you can brush through your brows without having to take an extra spoolie with you! This is also the only brow brush I’ve had that hasn’t gone out of shape over time so it’s definitely my favourite! The Eylure brow pomade is another great product that helps me to achieve a natural brow look!

Sleek Brow Gel

I’m taking this as it’s the only brow gel I own and it does its job, helps my brows to stay in place all day. I have this in the shade ‘clear’ but unfortunately I don’t think they sell this anymore so if you have any good drugstore brow gel recommendations please let me know in the comments!

MUA Eye Primer

Do I need to tell you how much I love this? It’s such an amazing product and really helps my eyeshadow to last all day which is exactly what I need for these two long days in London!

Naked Heat Palette

I chose this palette because I trust that I can create a nice eyeshadow look with it without it taking me too long or it getting too complicated! I’ve written a whole post before about my go to eyeshadow look using Naked Heat which takes around 10 minutes and looks beautiful! You can check that out here.

Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara

Again another trusty product that I can rely on to do its job! I might throw in another mascara at the last minute just to be safe as I love the volume this gives me but sometimes need another product to give me a bit more length in my lashes!

Lips & Set

L’oreal Chocolats Liquid Lipstick

These are my new favourite liquid lipsticks ever! I absolutely love the formula they’re so comfortable and they literally lasted me all day even when I’d eaten so this will be another product which is great for on the go as it won’t need topping up every 5 minutes! You can see a full review of these here.

Mac ‘Really Me’ Lipstick

I’ve thrown this in just as a precaution as I like to have options when it comes to lip products and I think I’d be feeling a bit panicky if I only had 1 product and therefore no choice on what I should wear. This won’t last as long as the liquid lipstick but it will be easier to apply on the go, probably won’t get used but at least I have the choice!

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

I’ve got two very hot days ahead of me and obviously the tube in London gets even hotter and we will have to use it for some of our travelling so I’ll probably end up a little sweaty and flustered (I hate the tube, too many people in such a small space!) So with that in mind I need something that is going to hold my makeup in place all day, I don’t want to be a patchy mess 4 hours into the day. Honestly I wouldn’t choose anything except this Urban Decay setting spray for this job, it’s amazing and makes my makeup last hours!

That’s all for this post lovelies, please don’t forget to drop me brow gel recommendations in the comments if you have any! I hope you’ve enjoyed this and hopefully I’ll have some fun travel posts for you when I’m back!

  1. I love the Rimmel Stay Matte powder! I always only take the essentials when I go anywhere for longer than a night when it comes to make up. I don’t own a lot of make up anyway but it’s just less weight / stress and hassle just carrying exactly what I’m going to use 🙂 xxx

  2. You always post about products that I want to try!! Bring on payday and I think I’m definitely going to get myself some of those brow products as I’ve been looking for new ones to try out.
