Hey lovelies! If you’ve read my blog for a while now you’ll know that I literally live and breathe Disney I love it so much I’d go and work in a Disney park for the rest of my life if I could!
My friend Morgie who blogs over at morgiereacts has been posting her Disney inspired makeup looks for a while now and I always love seeing them but I never thought I’d be creative enough to do one myself. She’s done Elsa, Bambi, Snow White & Peter Pan so far just to name a few so go and check out her posts!
I finally took the plunge and decided I was going to create a Disney inspired look of my own so I decided because Morgie was my inspiration I’d ask her if she wanted to collab with me, her character of choice this time is Candlehead from Wreck It Ralph so make sure you go and see her look when you’re done here!
I absolutely adore the film Wreck-It Ralph and think Vanellope is the cutest ever, I thought her look would be pretty simple to recreate so I decided to go with her for my first look.
Vanellope is very pale and then just has big rosy cheeks so the base was really simple to create. Take the lightest foundation you have and blend it in how you usually would, I used L’oreal Infalliable 24hr in 015 Porcelain and a Real Techniques sponge.
Obviously being a Disney character Vanellope’s skin is flawless so I used some Revolution Conceal and Define concealer in the shade C1 for my under eyes and to cover up any blemishes. I then took the Revolution Pro powder to set my base, as this is white it did make me look a little more pale which is why I chose this product!
The pinkest blusher I have is a No7 one in Soft Damson which I’ve had for years! As Vanellope has really rosy cheeks you need to go in with that blush, I’m not usually a blusher person but I did keep building this until my cheeks were super pink. Vanellope is also quite rosy on the end of her nose so where you’d usually apply highlight I applied more blusher to try and achieve this look.
That’s pretty much your base complete!
Eyes and Lips
Vanellope has pretty thick brows so I went in with my usual Eylure brow pomade in the shade ‘Blonde’ but made my brows a little bigger than I usually would and instead of leaving them more natural at the front you need to make them darker here too.
I then primed my eyelids with the MUA eye primer, after that you can take any pale pink shade to set your lids and blend just above your crease. To create the eyeshadow look I used the NYX Brights palette and took the teal green shade all over the lid, I then took the brightest pink shade from the palette and used a wet angled brush to create a ‘winged liner’ with this colour.
After the eyeshadow was done I used 3 different products to create small circle dots to resemble the ‘sweets’, for this I used a white kohl eyeliner, a pink lip liner and a blue pencil liner but you could choose any colour you like. Add as many small dots as you want above your crease up to your brow.
I then used the same coloured liners to make the same dots on my lower lash line too! Finally add some mascara I used L’oreal Miss Baby Roll but any will do! As you apply it to your lashes drag the wand towards the outer corner of your eye instead of straight up as Vanellope’s eyelashes flick out to the sides.
The last part of this look is the lips! Vanellope doesn’t seem to wear any lip colour at all but seen as I didn’t want to go for the whole ‘concealer lips’ look I just took the nudest lip shade I had which was the Rimmel Stay Matte liquid lipstick in ‘Moca’ and applied this to my lips.
Here’s the finished look, let me know what you think but please be nice, I know it’s not the best but this was my first attempt at anything like this!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, let me know if there’s any other looks you think I should try to create! Don’t forget to check out Morgie’s post I’ll link it here!
Until next time lovelies!
