Hey lovelies! Is this year ever going to slow down? Like seriously it feels like two minutes ago that I was booking our DLP holiday at the end of January and moaning about how far away it seemed and now it’s like 2 months away! So here we are again, another month is over which means it’s time for another favourites post!
I know I’m late to the party with the latest season of American Horror Story but it’s only just been added to Netflix and I’m so excited for the next one seen as it’s a crossover between my two favourite seasons Murder House and Coven that I knew I needed to watch this ASAP!
I liked the idea of the story line to this season being about the American election when Trump became president and how divided the American people were; it really unsettled some while others thought it would be the start of a revolution. I did enjoy this season but I did think it was the most fxcked up yet and there were parts I struggled to watch because of it. I know it’s called ‘American Horror Story’ but I don’t think any season has been this bad so far!
I’m not one to watch a series when it’s actually on TV anymore because I’m usually glued to whatever I’m binge watching on Netflix but the new drama ‘The Bodyguard’ on BBC1 had us hooked to our TV screens every Sunday night!
I’m not going to ramble on about this one as I know most people have felt the same and been hooked to it like me and my Fiancé were but if you haven’t seen it I’d definitely recommend it… that’s if you haven’t heard all the spoilers from the season finale on the radio/TV this week!
We haven’t really watched anything at the cinema this month that’s worth mentioning unfortunately guys but there are loads of films I want to see so maybe there will be some in next month’s post!
This month there have been three beauty products that I’ve spoken about/reviewed on my blog that I’ve absolutely adored so it would only be fair to give them all a mention!
Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation
When I tried this I knew I’d found one of my favourite drugstore foundations of all time! I love my foundation to be full coverage and this product definitely delivered in that aspect! It was long lasting and looked amazing on my skin, I’ll definitely be wearing this a lot over the next few weeks and you can guarantee I’ll repurchase before I run out!
You can see my full review here.
Violet Voss #Hashtag Palette
Ok so don’t hate me but this palette had been sitting in my drawer since January and I’ve only just used it, I really wish I’d tested it out sooner though! The formula of the shadows in this palette are amazing, the mattes are the creamiest I’ve ever tried and the shimmers were stunning. They all blended beautifully together and I loved the look I created with it!
Review & eyeshadow look here.
Jaclyn Hill Morphe Palette
If you read my blog regularly you’ll probably be sick of hearing about this palette seen as it’s the fourth post I’ve mentioned it in this month but surely that shows how fabulous it is? I think this palette is fantastic value for money considering you get 35 shades for £37! It’s so versatile that you’d be able to create hundreds of looks with it and the quality of the shadows is really good!

September is the month that me and my Fiancé rejoined the gym! Now that he’s officially left the forces and is back home with me all the time we thought we better start doing some exercise! I used to love street running but I’d always use the weather as an excuse, in the summer it was too hot and I couldn’t run more than a mile without being out of breath and now it’s getting colder the paths will be too icy or it’ll be throwing it down. The great thing about having a treadmill is you can’t use any of these excuses!
Our local gym also has a swimming pool so we’ve been going swimming as well as going to the gym but I find swimming gets a bit monotonous so I would rather hit the gym most days! We’ve been aiming to go 3-4 times a week and I’m loving it at the minute, don’t get me wrong there are still days when I can’t be bothered to go but once I’m there I feel so much better!
Each time I jump on that treadmill I’m trying to beat my previous 5K time and I think having small goals like that really helps to keep you motivated when it comes to exercise! I’m currently at 34:54 but I want to get it down to 30 minutes by the end of October!
Blogger of the Month
September’s blogger of the month ties in with my purchase/delivery of the month! I actually asked Lottie to make this product for me in August but it was delivered at the beginning of September and I love it SO much!
Lottie who blogs over at Lottie Does includes posts on her blog about everything from fitness/running to Disney hauls, makeup reviews and decorating your home! She’s just recently moved from her home town and given up her job and she’s trying her best to make her business take off! I absolutely love Lottie’s products and if I had unlimited funds I’d definitely order tonnes of outfits from her for Disney trips as she is super talented but for now I’m over the moon with these ears I bought from her I mean how cute are they?! I cannot wait to put together the rest of my Pooh Bear bound to go with these ears!
Make sure you check out Lottie’s Etsy store because her products are the best!
That’s all for this month lovelies! What’s been your favourite thing in September? Let me know in the comments!
