Hey lovelies! I love doing ‘tag’ type posts I always find them really fun to write and I love reading other people’s answers and seeing how all our opinions differ. I was tagged in the ‘Autumn Tag’ by the lovely Lorna so make sure you go and check out her post here. If you saw one of my recent posts ‘Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn’ you’ll know how much I love this season so lets get on with the tag!
What signifies the start of Autumn for you?
The start of Autumn for me is always the beginning of October, but as soon as the weather drops which is usually the middle of September I know Autumn is coming and because I feel the cold really bad I’m usually eager to get my Autumn wardrobe out!
What is your favourite Autumn scent?
I’ll be honest I’m not keen on many Autumn scents as I don’t really like spicy scents which a lot of Autumn candles are. I’d much rather get my sweet scented Christmas candles burning as soon as possible!
What is your favourite Autumn colour?
I love everything mustard coloured, it’s literally my favourite! I really like burgundy too, my whole autumn/winter wardrobe is made up of mustard and burgundy clothing!
Are you a fan of a Pumpkin Spice Latte?
I’ll be honest I’ve never tried one because I don’t like coffee.
What is your favourite Autumn drink?
I don’t drink tea either so the only hot drink I tend to have is hot chocolate, I love it especially with all the trimmings like whipped cream and marshmallows! I also like to add my own flavoured syrup into hot chocolate like vanilla or caramel.
Toffee Apple cider is also quite nice but I don’t drink it very often.
What is your favourite coffee shop and drink of choice?
Due to the fact I don’t drink tea or coffee it’s very rare I visit coffee shops. I do like to go to Costa when they have their Christmas drinks out as I usually try one of the Christmas hot chocolates while I’m Christmas shopping!
Apple pie or Pumpkin Pie?
I’m not particularly keen on ‘pie’ type desserts I’d much rather have a cake but if I had to choose it would be apple pie, I’ve actually never tried anything with Pumpkin in!
What TV show, new or old are you looking forward to in the next few months?
The new season of American Horror Story has started but I haven’t seen any of it yet so I’m excited to see that as it’s a crossover between my two favourite seasons ‘Murder House’ and ‘Coven’.
It sounds sad but I also love to watch X Factor throughout Autumn, when that starts I know it’s nearly Christmas!
What is your favourite Autumn fashion trend?
Chunky knit jumpers and boots! I’m loving wearing my Dr Martens at the minute, big chunky scarves are also my favourite as it starts to get colder!
What is your favourite comfort food to enjoy in the colder months?
This is a hard one because I love food so much but I’m also quite a fussy eater which means that things like stew that most people love in Autumn I don’t actually like. Some of my favourites are ‘toad in the hole’ and ‘cheese and potato pie’ though!
What is your favourite Autumn activity?
I’ve only ever carved a pumpkin once, I know shock horror! I actually didn’t particularly like it either, pulling all the insides out was far too messy for me! I love going for autumn walks though, wrapping up warm and walking through all the leaves that have fallen off the trees, it’s perfect!
Are you a fan of horror movies?
No, I don’t like scary films much at all but my Fiancé loves them so I’m getting used to watching them more even though I do spend most of the film hiding behind my coat! I do want to go and see the new ‘Halloween’ film though it looks SO good!
Do you ever do anything fun for Halloween?
We’ve never really done much for Halloween even when I was younger, I’m not a big fan of it to be honest!
What was your favourite part about Halloween as a child?
When I was a teenager one of my friends always used to have a Halloween party at her house and her parents went all out on the decorations it was fab! They used to have loads of people come trick or treating and it was so cute seeing all the little ones dressed up! I never went trick or treating myself so it never bothered me.
Are you a bigger fan of Bonfire Night or Halloween?
Definitely Bonfire Night! There’s nothing better than putting loads of layers on, a big thick scarf and going to watch a good firework display, especially with a hot chocolate in hand whilst you’re watching!
Where is your dream destination to visit in the Autumn?
I would love to go to Walt Disney World Florida for the Halloween season because the decorations always look amazing and I’d love to go to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, they have some fab character meets there! Also if you time your holiday right you can be there for Halloween and Christmas because as they take the Halloween decorations down the Christmas ones go up!
Do you always forget about the clocks going back?
My Mom and my Nan usually remind me about this and because our phones update automatically we don’t really have to remember anymore do we? I remember being in our local pub one Saturday night when the clocks went back though and last orders used to be 1am so everyone got an extra hour in the pub because the clocks went back!
When do you usually start preparing for Christmas?
I usually start getting Christmas presents around the middle of November but this year I’ve already started preparing for Christmas because of ‘Blogmas’. I’ve written half of my posts already because I know I’ll be too busy in December to get them done!
