Most Anticipated Film Releases -November/December 2018

Hey lovelies! If you’ve read this blog for a long time or you follow me on Twitter you’ll probably know that I absolutely love going to the cinema. Me and my Fiancé are actually Cineworld Unlimited cardholders which means we get to go to the cinema as much as we like each month for a fee of £17.90 each which is a bargain in my opinion considering the extortionate prices of cinema tickets!

I wrote a post all about the perks of being an Unlimited member and whether I thought it was worth it quite a while ago now but I’ll link it here if you’re interested. Anyway, we don’t go to the cinema as much as some Unlimited card holders, we do like to get our monies worth but don’t just go for the sake of it, there has to be something we genuinely want to watch. Over the coming months there are a lot of films coming out which look amazing in my opinion so I thought I’d share the ones I’m looking forward to most with you guys!

Wreck It Ralph 2 – Ralph Breaks the Internet

Obviously I couldn’t write this post without mentioning the new Wreck It Ralph movie as the original is one of my favourite Disney films ever and one of the most underrated in my opinion! This is released on the 30th November in the UK so we don’t have long to wait and honestly I’m SO excited to see it!

From the trailers I’ve seen this film is going to be amazing and it might even top the first one! Disney sequels are known for not being very good compared to the original movies but considering this is the FIRST cinema release of a Disney sequel since The Rescuers Down Under in 1990 I have high hopes for this!

Why this isn’t called ‘Ralph Wrecks the Internet’ is beyond me though!

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

I absolutely love the Harry Potter franchise almost as much as I love Disney (not quite though) and the films never fail to disappoint! I watched the first Fantastic Beasts film not long after it was released and I haven’t seen it since so you can bet it’s on my watchlist for the next couple of days as this film is released 16th November (Friday coming if you’re reading this on upload day) and I need to watch the first one again before I see this!

From watching the trailer this film looks like it’s going to keep us on the edge of our seats from the very beginning, with Jude Law playing a young Dumbledore and Johnny Depp playing Grindelwald it’s bound to be great!

Mary Poppins Returns

Yet another Disney movie, surprise surprise! Disney are literally killing it with their movies this year, the original Mary Poppins is a classic film that most people adore and I’m sure Mary Poppins Returns is going to be just as beautiful as the first movie!

This film isn’t released in the UK until the 21st December so we do have to wait a little while longer until we get to see this but I’m sure it will be worth the wait! The trailer looks fabulous and I think Emily Blunt will make a great Mary Poppins! I also love how Dick Van Dyke is going to be in this film, he might not play a huge part (I don’t know yet) but it’s still going to be nice to have someone from the original film in this new one!

Primark have already jumped on the bandwagon and started creating a tonne of Mary Poppins merch in anticipation of this film release. I don’t blame them because the film is bound to do well and everything they’ve produced is gorgeous like these tea towels I picked up!

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

Disney’s new release is their take on the classic story of ‘The Nutcracker’ which is usually performed as a ballet. This film is actually already out in the UK, it got released last week but I haven’t managed to get to the cinema to see it yet. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms looks so magical and I cannot wait to go and watch it!

What are you most looking forward to watching at the cinema this winter? Let me know in the comments!

  5. Of course I love this post because of how much Disney you’ve included! I love the original Wreck it Ralph too and can’t wait to see how Emily Blunt is as Mary Poppins. I’ve always been interested in getting an unlimited card thingy as we go quite a bit but I’ve been put off by how far we have to travel to the nearest Odeon. I’ll have to check out your post on your experience.

    1. We watched The Nutcracker today and it was fab! Ralph is out in just under 2 weeks and honestly I’m SO excited! With Mary Poppins you need to watch Saving Mr Banks first and then watch it, that’s how we did it and it makes you love it even more!xx
