Boxing Day Sales Haul

Hey lovelies! Welcome back, this is my first post after Blogmas so I hope you all had an amazing Christmas, I know I did although it went far too fast. I have so much planned for this blog in the New Year and I can’t wait to share my content with you all!

After writing my final Blogmas post a few days before Christmas I decided to have a well deserved break and spend some quality time with my family because after all that’s what Christmas is supposed to be about. It really infuriated my to see Youtubers posting their ‘What I Got For Christmas’ hauls on Christmas Day I mean I know a lot of people like watching those type of videos, me included, but could they not just take 1 day off to be with their family?! I’m not going to continue this rant because I could go on for hours but I just think some people have their priorities so wrong!

Anyway… when I was younger it was a tradition that on Boxing Day (which we always spent with my Dad and his side of the family) we’d go to our local town to hit the sales and spend our Christmas money. As I’ve got older and I’ve started shopping online I no longer feel the need to go and make all those retail workers lives a misery on Boxing Day so I didn’t actually go shopping this year.

I didn’t purchase anything online on Christmas Day or Boxing Day so on the 28th when I met up with my friend Lize from Lize in Disneyland in Birmingham, I did pick up a couple of things in the sales so I thought I’d share them with you!

Too Faced

Whilst walking through Debenhams I noticed that Too Faced still had quite a lot of their Christmas gift sets which had been reduced, I picked up two things which were both 25% off so it’s worth checking your local Debenhams if you wanted anything even if they’re out of stock online!

Sexy Prime Time Set

This gift set has two Too Faced products inside and it was reduced from £12 to £9. It includes a ‘Better Than Sex’ mascara and a ‘Primed and Peachy’ primer, they’re both miniature products but I love these kind of sets as you get to try new products to see if you like them without committing to a full size version!

Melted Matte Gingerbread Scented

If you saw my ‘Too Faced – The Sweet Smell of Christmas Review’ you’ll know that I picked up the gift set containing 4 miniature melted matte lipsticks and I absolutely loved the formula! When I saw that the full size gingerbread version was reduced from £19 to £14.25 I knew I had to have it, these lipsticks are so good that it’s definitely worth the price!

I’d seen online that Pandora had a few of their Disney items in the sale and that the Donald and Daisy Duck portrait charms were reduced from £35 to £19 which is a complete bargain in my opinion! When I went into the store and I saw that they still had some Donald charms left I decided to treat myself. I met Donald on this Disneyland Paris trip and the interactions with him were so cute, I thought this charm would be a nice way to remember that!

I’m trying to be more sensible with my money and there were so many different gift sets reduced in Boots that I could have bought, I considered getting another Spectrum brush set just because they were half price and I also nearly got my hands on a Violet Voss palette but I decided to be good and just get one thing I actually needed! Well done me!

Throughout the winter over the past few years I’ve suffered with really bad skin on my hands, they get really itchy and then I get a bumpy rash a bit like eczema. I usually keep my hands moisturised with Soap and Glory ‘Hand Food’ but I’ve lost mine and this week my hands have been itching non stop so I decided to get a new one, it’s only £3 for a small tube which is perfect for throwing in your handbag so you always have it with you.

I dragged my fiancé shopping on the day after boxing day to have a look around the sales because we’ll be moving out soon and we still need SO much stuff for our home. We managed to grab some great bargains but I’m not going to bore you with those too much as it is literally adulting at its finest and they’re not exciting items at all. Our bank balances are definitely hating us right now though as we got:

  • A microwave reduced from £169.99 to £74.99!!
  • An iron
  • 2 pairs of curtains
  • A bedding set
  • A bread bin
  • Tea & coffee canisters
  • Coasters
  • Oven trays & Pyrex dishes

I usually get so much in the sales so please leave me a comment telling me your favourite thing you picked up to make me feel a bit better that I’ve hardly bought anything for myself!

  2. I was about to comment about what a great deal you got in Pandora then I saw the microwave!?! That’s amazing. Despite still living at home, I’m obsessed with homeware and kitchen stuff (what a shock). I love picking up beauty minis too. Sometimes it’s better that way when you have a huge collection anyway! x

    1. Tell me about it! It’s from Currys if you need a new one some of the fridges have really good deals on too and I wish we were moving sooner so I could get one!! Omg if you see any homeware bargains you’ll have to let me know if you like all that sort of stuff and exactly I need to downsize my makeup collection anyway!xx

  3. I didnt buy much in the sales this year for myself but I got a few presents to put up for others. We always go into Boots and buy a bunch of their gift sets in the sale.
